The AGMAX product range from Sota Tractors is a wide selection of tractor implements for hobby farmers, suitable for a variety of farming applications - from post hole diggers and front end loaders to stick rakes and rotary hoes. Sota Tractors wanted to create a catalogue of the AGMAX products in order to display them and convey technical information to potential customers. Initially there were minimal photos of the implements, so Suzanne Day directed photo shoots geared towards obtaining attractive photos which demonstrated practical usage. These photos would appeal to customers by inspiring their agricultural aspirations and allowing customers to imagine themselves using the implements. Below is a selection of implement photos on location taken by Suzanne.
In order to enhance the design of the catalogue, Suzanne took further photos of the implements for clipping, so that there would be a mix of location photos and the sizes/types of implements available. The technical information was also collated by Suzanne and a Sota assistant - from measuring lengths and heights to weighing the implements and obtaining/clarifying horsepower information from the Sota Board and employees. The graphic design of the catalogue took many weeks of editing to get it "just right" and Suzanne clipped the photos, designed the layout and arranged very affordable printing for 5000 catalogues. On completion of the catalogues, the information and photos were used on the AGMAX website, in Sota advertisements and for general marketing materials, such as in the Kubota brochures. Outcome The AGMAX implement catalogue looked great with a glossy cover and certainly attracted the interest of customers! Many people at field days and the Sota showrooms took a catalogue away to read at home and this promoted some implement sales. By giving away an AGMAX implement catalogue with every tractor sale, Sota were able to maximise their sales of AGMAX implements and the salespeople were able to refer to the catalogue for technical information, instead of having to remember it all themselves.
The full range of brochures and photos can be seen at the Sota Tractors and AGMAX websites. |
